Growing up in a jewelry store in downtown Portland, founding partner Mark New realized there is a bigger picture to retail than just day-to-day operations.
After eight years as a top producer with Grubb & Ellis Real Estate, New left in 1990 to start his own company. In 1993, Steven Neville joined, following a career as manager of the shopping center division of Trammel Crow Company in Oregon. Together, New and Neville formed a partnership to create a boutique company focused on retail real estate throughout Oregon and SW Washington. Jim Flynn joined in 1997 with two decades of experience handling site acquisitions in the Northwest for Payless Drugs.
With the addition of Natalie Butler as an associate broker in 2005 and Austin Cain in 2012, New & Neville Real Estate Services has grown into a business with expertise in all aspects of retail real estate, completing 400,000 to 500,000 square feet of retail leases per year.
